In support of LA artists affected by the LA Fires

Grief and Hope

A group of volunteers, including artists, gallery employees, and cultural workers in Los Angeles, is responding to the devastation caused by recent wildfires that have severely affected neighborhoods home to many in the city's creative community. The fires, fueled by Santa Ana winds, have left numerous artists and cultural workers homeless or without their studios. The amount raised will be used to support those impacted by the Eaton, Palisades, Sunset, and other fires. The funds will be distributed to artists and art workers who have lost their homes or workspaces. This fundraiser was organized in response to requests for guidance from those outside of Los Angeles who want to help directly. The group plans to match funds and contributions according to the greatest needs of those affected. The effort is led by Kathryn Andrews, Andrea Bowers, Olivia Gauthier, Julia V. Hendrickson, and Ariel Pittman, who express their commitment to community care, hope, and solidarity in the face of overwhelming loss.
